Job Summary
Driven to find and resolve faults, often under pressure, you have the ability to use your own initiative and work under your own direction, whilst being an effective team player. You will provide a preventative and corrective maintenance service on radio and transmission equipment, specifically SDH and GSM, on Network Rail's West Coast Mainline between London and the North West. Your role will be home based and usually day based, but can include night work when required. Additionally, you will work ‘on call' for approximately one week in three
Key Objectives
- To carry out planned maintenance of radio and transmission equipment on time and within specified service levels
- To respond to failures within specified service levels.
Requirements
- Good experience with SDH transmission equipment
- GSM experience
- Strong fault finding experience
- Self-motivated, prepared to work under your own direction and to work effectively within a team as required.
Desirable Skills
- Experience of maintaining telecommunications equipment in the Network Rail environment with an appropriate IRSE licence
- Experience with CSR (Cab Secure Radio)
