Job Summary
This role is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your excellent ability to deliver, efficiently prioritising, managing tasks and the team to deadlines. You will be responsible for the day to day running of Operational Comms Projects within a railway environment. Managing your team including Installation Engineers, Labourers and Fibre Splicers, you deliver the work on the ground on behalf of the Project Manager.
Key Objectives
- Responsible for the completion of Operational Comms projects in a safe and timely manner.
- Effectively supervise the team
- Work within project time constraints
Requirements
- Experience of supervision on Rail Projects work
- Knowledge of Operational Railway Telecoms (eg concentrator renewals, resignalling schemes)
- The ability to persuade and influence at all levels and make sound decisions.
- An excellent leader and team player. Self-motivated with the ability to work alone and under extreme time constraints.
- Work is UK wide and although the majority of the work tends to be daytime Monday to Friday, there is a need to be flexible to work weekends and nights when required.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in copper and fibre testing in accordance with Network Rail Standards.
- RIMINI planner, IRSE Licence.
- Experience in producing task briefing sheets and work package plans
- Experience in possession planning
